The US Open at Torrey Pines.  What a venue!  My prediction, as usual, will be thwarted after the first day, but it's the unknown that will have me glued to the TV all weekend.

Can you count Tiger out at this point of his career?  No, even with a recovering knee, but you certainly must be weary if you will be choosing him in your fantasy golf leagues this week.  He says he's good to go, despite the media's perception that he's definitely not close to 100%.  He wasn't a 100% at Augusta and he finished 2nd.

I'm hoping fearless Phil shows up and thrills us once again.  But, if he has a 1 stroke lead going into the final hole, please Phil, play smart!!  He grew up playing the course and it appears he's added a little extra pressure to win it.  He would love to win his first US Open to make this his - I've come full circle moment.

The rest, hell, it's the US Open, everyone has a shot and anything can happen.  My prediction:  It won't be Phil or Tiger.  I think both will play well and Phil might even lead at some point.  I think it will be a first time major winner.  The reason being I always want a first time winner, but mostly it's just a feeling.

Wouldn't it be great to see one of these obscure guys who qualified thru the qualifiers win it?

After watching DA Points qualify, he looks solid and my cinderella story.  I have selected him for my C group in fantasy golf.  I could use a good showing.
